Who?

#tweetday is the brainchild of Chris Allen, an 18 year-old blogger from Plymouth, England, who enjoys blogging about the things no-one wants to read about, and tweeting along with international events, current affairs, politics and life in his own slightly cynical manner. You can follow him yourself at @chrismgallen, or read Chris Allen's Epic Blog at www.epicblog.co.uk.

What?

The idea is that, for 24 hours, every Wednesday, everyone will add the hashtag #tweetday to thier posts. Simple huh? I don't want anyone to be excluded, so please feel free to add #tweetday to all of your tweets, each and every Wednesday.

Where?

Twitter users all over the world are welcome to join in. In fact, I positively encourage you to join in, no matter where you are! Let's make #tweetday multi-cultural!

When?

#tweetday is EVERY single wednesday of the year! That should be easy enough to remember! #tweetday begins at 0:00 in all time-zones (not localised to one area), and ends at 23:59 the same day. This means that worldwide, #tweetday OFFICIALLY lasts for a total of 48 hours (do the maths!).

Why?

#tweetday was born following "Chris Allens Live Twitter Experiment", where Chris tried to post one tweet every five minutes for five hours. Although his attempt was plagued with problems such as poor mobile signal, and his batteries running dry - Chris decided that he liked the idea of random people tweeting random things with one thing in common, a hashtag that can be followed - and so, #tweetday was born.
