Projects
I used to sit around at home doing nothing all day. These days I like to be a little more productive – though only a little!
Here I’ll list my little projects as and when I come up with my hair-brained schemes… there’s a past example below and I’ll post more as and when!
Facebook Based:
- SAVE WOOLWORTHS! – Back in Autumn 2008, Britain’s most loved highstreet retailer, Woolworths, went into administration. My facebook group attracted over 33,000 members in little over a month, and was featured on BBC and Sky News, as well as in regional and national newspapers. I recently blogged about the experience here.
Twitter Based:
- TWEETDAY – My attempt at a trending topic (based on the idea CALTE gave), every Wednesday… worked for a couple of weeks! (more on the Tweetday Minisite)
-
CALTE (Chris Allen’s Live Twitter Experiment) – My FIRST attempt at creating a trending topic on twitter, based around a personal experiment on a train ride to London from Devon. Whilst admittedly a bit of an odd idea, around 20 people joined in at the peak of the experiment, most of whom I didn’t know beforehand, thus proving what I’d set out to see, how the internet links us all!
