At least they’re honest…

O2′s new data caps aren’t the end of the world. Honest!
Ever since Apple announced the iPhone 4 last week, there’s been a lot of hype surrounding its imminent launch around the world, and of course, here in the UK.
On Thursday, one of the major networks, O2, announced their new tariffs for the iPhone, which brought a few surprises. O2 have introduced unlimited SMS messages to every single payment band, and have made the move to charge MMS messages as seperate from SMS messages.

Why Keylogging won’t protect your Child online
As you might of guessed, I like to think of myself as pretty in-the-know when it comes to computers and the internet. I also have quite a strong interest in online security. It’s just part of who I am and what I do. I like to look after people, I like the internet… well, it made sense in my head – and that’s why I’m writing this post.
Protecting children online has always been a large concern, and is becoming a more prevailent issue with each passing day, as stories about children meeting people they have spoken to on facebook or myspace become more commonplace.

Cumbria Shooting Spree
As I write this, communities lay shattered, the county of Cumbria is in a state of shock, and across the UK people are turning on their televisions or computers and shocked at what they’re seeing on their screens.
Today in Cumbria, Derrick Bird aged 52, a self employed taxi driver from Cumbria, snuffed out the lives of 12 people after embarking on a killing spree across the county, and left at least 25 injured, and countless others with horrific memories.

Election Special: We didn’t vote for this
On Thursday the 6th of May, I like many others, and possibly even you, voted in the UK’s General Election.
If you’re anything like I am, you hopefully voted for a party after making an informed decision based on all sorts of Manifestos from the parties. More to the point, you’d probably be rather peeved if the party you voted for then decided to make major amendments to their manifesto in order to woo another political party into a coalition with them wouldn’t you?

Election Specials: What IS a “Hung Parliament”?
“Opinion polls suggest a strong possibility of there being a hung parliament after the general election.” (BBC)
That’s all well and good, but do people actually know what that MEANS? In a very quick poll of 10 of my friends, only 2 even vaguely knew the answer, which is concerning considering that there’s a strong possibility that that’s what we’re heading towards.

[Mini] – This tweet sums up my general ability to lose things…
Have received my #Labour membership card. Of course, being me, I’ve also promptly lost it. Hmn…

Inventiveness and Tube maintainance
Ok, I’m not really sure if inventiveness is actually a real word, but it certainly managed to make you read this post, which was kind of the point!
To cut a long story short, I’m beginning my weekly trip home froma friends house on the tube. And yet again, of course, TfL have decided that it would be an amazing idea to shut down nearly every tube line today.
